Preventing radicalism needs to start with the learner. Therefore, the Student Council (Dema) of Nahdlatul Ulama Islamic High School (STISNU) Tangerang Nusantara took the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Tangerang City to prevent radicalism among students. This as a form of activity in the month of Ramadan
President Dema STISNU Imam Khoiri explains, Ministry of Religious Affairs should take part together Dema STISNU in preventing the danger of radicalism and terrorism. "We (Dema) and the Ministry of Religious Affairs have agreed to join together to counter radicalism in the name of religion, starting from socialization among students," he said during a visit to the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Tangerang City on Tuesday (30/5).
He added that STISNU and Kemenag had agreed on several points as a manifesto of mujahid cadres to give an understanding of the importance of implementing the noble values of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.
The agreement also contains to strongly reject radicalism in the name of religion, reject organizations that want to change the basis of the state, and encourage Indonesian Muslims to think moderate, tolerant, and loving and affectionate.
Head of Kemenag Tangerang City, H. Dedi Mahfudin a appreciated STISNU Nusantara student's step.According to him, radicalism needs to be denied early because radical thinking can destroy the integration of nationality.
Therefore, Kemenag Kota Tangerang strongly supports the program to prevent early danger of radical thinking among students.
"We will conduct socialization activities together to prevent radical action among students of Tangerang City", he explained.
This partnership will be realized in the event of Gema (Student Movement) Ramadhan 2017, which is a road show and socialization of danger of radicalism and "Ngaji Pancasila" in 5 (five) urban villages of Tangerang during Ramadan.
